Color Scheme
Start updating your outdoor spaces by selecting a color scheme - from a traditional fall palette of oranges, yellows and brown to metallics and neutrals, there are many to choose from. This decision will serve as a guide for the rest of your decor and design choices.
Pumpkins!
One classic component in outdoor fall decor is pumpkins and gourds! They are a myriad of ways to displays, from plain pumpkins to jack-o-lanters to pumpkin planters. Using a variety of sizes and colors will add depth and beauty to your decor. Painting or adding vinyl cutouts to your pumpkins allow for personalization and add a unique touch to your outdoor space.

Hay Bales & Straw
Hay bales and straw can be used to create a rustic feel for your outdoor space. If you have neutrals in your color scheme, these materials meet that requirement and bring a natural feel to your space. If using real hay and stalks are not to you liking, there are many faux accessories that can be found to reduce the amount of cleaning required.
Lighting
Finding the right lighting for your space is key to creating a cozy and warm ambiance. There are a variety of lighting options to choose from - electric lanterns, gas powered lanterns, string lights, LED lights, solar powered lights, etc. These different types of lighting can be used in various places to create the desired atmosphere, for safety or functionality, or to highlight plants or decor. Some ideas include - (1) string, bistro lighting creating an imaginary ceiling above a seating area (2) string lights along fences and railings (3) uplighting to trees or porch plants (4) lighting on columns or other architectural elements.
